Applications of glass fibre tubes and carbon fibre tubes
We have facilities to manufacture glass fibre tubes and carbon fibre tubes from 4mm to 250mm diameter with one-piece lengths currently up to 3 metres using closely controlled pre-preg materials.
Our in-house machining capability includes centreless grinding, turning, drilling, routing and milling along with adhesive bonding, fabrication and paint spraying facilities allowing us to produce fully finished components to your exact specification.
The company has designed and built much of it's dedicated manufacturing plant and developed a proven material range to enable the special properties of these materials to be processed to the maximum advantage and quality.

Glass Fibre Tubes
- LECTRAGLAS 'EP' ™
A plain woven glass fibre fabric impregnated with a proprietary epoxy resin system - excellent electrical insulation and dielectric properties with high mechanical, corrosion resistance and machining capabilities. Well proven in high voltage applications.
- LECTRAGLAS 'EPR' ™
A bias woven glass fibre fabric/epoxy available with resin pigmented in a range of colours, producing glass fibre tubes with high axial or hoop stiffness and strength. Commonly used for antenna applications, masts and telescopic poles.
- LECTRAGLAS 'S' ™
A silicone resin impregnated fine weave glass fibre fabric with high thermal endurance - typical application is welding gun nozzle insulators.
- LECTRAGLAS 'EHT' ™
Fine weave glass fibre fabric with a high temperature epoxy resin system capable of continuous operation at 180°C
Carbon Fibre Tubes
- HICARB ™
A family of carbon (graphite) fibre and aramid fibre based materials available in unidirectional, fabric and hybrid forms. Tubes from this ultra-high performance range of materials are individually computer designed by us with fibre orientations and tube constructions tailored to your application for maximum property usage.
